Michelle Johnson is a contemporary jazz singer songwriter based in Las Vegas, Nevada where she is known as "The First Lady of Jazz."  After years of singing backups for many musical legends, she is currently recording her first solo album and working on a book about the music business.

"Salute to the Great Singer-Songwriters" pays tribute to the music of Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Loggins, Bob Dylan, Carole King, Billy Joel, Tracey Chapman, and many more. The show stars popular Las Vegas vocalist Michelle Johnson, with musical direction and arrangements by Jeffrey Neiman.

Backed by an incredible band of the finest musicians, this evening of great music spans several genres and features hit songs we all know and love. "Salute to the Great Singer-Songwriters" will take place on Friday, June 29th at 8 pm inside the intimate setting of Myron's Cabaret Jazz inside the Smith Center.

The show also features Michelle’s original song “I’m All In”, which is from her new album that is being produced by Grammy winner Kamau Kenyatta (producer for Grammy winner Gregory Porter and others).

Michelle Johnson is known for her soaring vocals, versatile repertoire, and her sold out productions at the Smith Center and elsewhere. She has also worked as a backup singer to many legendary artists. Musical Director Jeffrey Neiman has an extensive resume and is an outstanding arranger and conductor.

This promises to be a wonderful evening featuring music from some of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time. See you there!

The Puerto Vallarta Gay Men’s Chorus (PVGMC) is proud to present its 6th annual fundraising gala on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 7:00 pm at the beautiful Casa Karma Boutique Resort! This is the PVGMC’S major fundraising effort, which will help fund their many musical projects throughout the rest of the year.

The evening will include a delicious buffet dinner designed and prepared by Casa Karma’s own International Chef: Elvira Prado Robles, cocktails and libations by Nationally Acclaimed Mixologist: Orlando Cano, PVGMC’s Spring Concert featuring Broadway and show tunes, and dancing under the stars in this opulent seaside setting as well as many other surprises.

The PVGMC is a diverse, community-based performing arts organization that develops and shares the vocal skills of gay men from Mexico, the United States, Canada and around the world. Directed by Artistic Director: Alfonso Lopez, our music blends traditional choral music with musical theater, jazz and pop. Summerlin's Annual July 4th Patriotic Parade


Michelle Johnson's choir The Desert Angels has been invited back to be a part of the Summerlin Patriotic July 4th Parade. Residents are invited to show their colors at The Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade taking place Tuesday, July 4. Now in its 23rd year, the Patriotic Parade features more than 70 entries including marching bands, floats, giant inflatable balloons and children’s favorite storybook and cartoon characters.

The escort division steps-off at 8:30 a.m. with the parade’s main body commencing at 9 a.m. The parade travels along flag-lined streets from Hillpointe Road and Hills Center, then south on Hills Center Drive concluding on Trailwood Drive at the entrance of the Trails Village Shopping Center. Arrive early to get a prime viewing area along the route.
